DAVID : No thankyou very much! TOMMY : I don't think he'll jump over a wall, but anyway... DAVID : Let me check out his horn... HASSELHOFF PRESSES THE PATHETIC HORN TWICE TOMMY : Now listen, (sees him press the horn, replying with a hint of sarcasm) ... nice one! I wanna talk to you in just a minute about singing, because I gather you do 'a little bit of that on the side' as well, plus your acting... DAVID : Yeah, yeah, actually I started off as a singer and then I got into Knight Rider, and Knight Rider is no longer running in the first run, and so I got back into singing which is er... TOMMY : Right, look, before we actually have a look at your new single, I would like to have another word with young Kitt here. (to Kit 10) Tell me about this, I don't know whether you have rivalry in your family, but are you better than your big brother Kitt, who's best? KIT 10 : I must search my central processors TOMMY : (impatient) Yeah search em then, go on! KIT 10 : It tells me I am older and wiser, a shade slower, but tougher and better looking. TOMMY : Yeah, he's a little bit arrogant isn't he? DAVID : Yeaaaah! THEY BOTH LAUGH TOMMY : Alright, let's take a look at your new single shall we, what's it called? DAVID : It's called 'Looking for Freedom' TOMMY : Here we go... FOLLOWED BY HASSELHOFF OVER ACTING IN HIS VIDEO AND CUTAWAYS OF KNIGHT RIDER STUNTS... MAGIC! THEN BACK TO TOMMY LAUGHING TOMMY : It's cracker isn't it, it's a corker, well done boy, nice one there! DAVID : Yes, thankyou very much, good to see you... (unbeknown to hasselhoff, the interview isn't over yet) TOMMY : (shaking hands) Yeah, good to see... So what are you... are you gonna be a pop star then, or are you gonna stay an actor? What's the future for you? DAVID : Well, I have a new series in the states, it's called Baywatch. It's about lifeguards who work the beaches of Southern California, and for the next two months I'm just going to be touring Europe, doing a lot of singing. The record went Platinum yesterday in Germany, which is 500,000, and so we've decided to come to England to see how well it does here. TOMMY : Blimey, lend us a fiver! DAVID : Yeah (not understanding) TOMMY : Now listen, you've got a lot of fans over in this country, because Knight Rider has been one of the top 10 programmes for I suppose something like 5 years now. Is there anything you'd like to say to people who have like got all the cars and the posters on the wall and things like that? DAVID : Oh sure, I have a very important lady named Sheila Jarvis who is the head of my fan club, and for five years, and I just wanted to say hello, and hello to all my fans who love Knight Rider and Kitt and thanks for watching! TOMMY : Now let me ask you this, this is a question I've always wanted to ask you. Do you get when you're out driving at home. Do you get a lot of nonesense from people because you're not driving Kitt all the time? DAVID : I actually, on my licence plate, I have 'R U WHO' TOMMY ALMOST KILLS HIMSELF WITH LAUGHTER DAVID : Because people are driving down the road going 'are you who?' 'are you who?' and I go, 'yes I am!' TOMMY : Because you're not in Kitt, they're just checking! DAVID : Actually I have 3 Kitt cars, I bought them, and I'm bringing one to London, probably in 2 months. So I actually tour the world showing the Kitt car, because the kids like the car. TOMMY : And I gather you're very fond of animals as well. What's your favourite pet? DAVID : I have a bird named Charlie, it's an African grey. I have 3 parrots 6 dogs, and what's that pig doing over here, I saw a pig. TOMMY : We have a pig later on the show! DAVID : There's a pig here! TOMMY : We'll bring, we'll bring, we'll make sure you meet the pig. Are you gonna stay and meet the pig? DAVID : I'll stay and meet the pig! TOMMY : That's terrific news. Go get yourself a cup of coffee and relax. DAVID : To the pig! Kitt - come on pal. TOMMY : Are you going with him or what? KIT 10 : Michael, can I come too? DAVID : Bye everybody!
