HAMPSHIRE HOMOPHOBE

Nor The Battle To The Strong...
There has only ever been one monumental caller who has provoked a prolilferation of controversy by simply having certain opinions about certain issues and being able to sustain those values when put through numerous firing squads. Never has there been so much of a broadcasted outcry because one man is prepared to come on the radio and be ruthlessly honest. By the mere mention of three key words, the queue goes right round the block full of people readying verbal weaponry and sharpening their tongues in preparation for a one-on-one battle to the prejudicial death. Only to be defeated moments later by means of hostile bloodshed. The three magic words are "Simon from Hampshire".

Homophobic Secularist...
Simon is famous for one opinion over any other, so much so that it dictates his views on countless other topics, and is invariably at the heart of any of his arguments. The simple fact is that Simon is recognised for being less than polite in his attitude towards the issue of homosexuality -- he hates them! Second to his hatred of homosexuals is his vitriolicism in the direction of the church and religion. Suprisingly he hates them! It has also been established that Simon dislikes answer machines, local councils, male dancers, worrying, and Andrew Lloyd Webber, but more than that, Simon hates them!

Aggressive Line of Thought or Entertainment?
Is Simon just harmless fun, or is his mouth swarming with verbal bacteria coming from a diseased mind? Well it depends how seriously you take him, and it also depends on whether you have a sense of humour. Undoubtedly, Simon is as serious as someone can get as far as his opinions are concerned, but it's always a joy to hear him come on and reduce the opposition to a jibbering wreck. Whatever your stance on any of the issues that Simon opposes and passionately attacks, you can not deny that Simon can turn even the most mediocre of Tommy's hours (eg the recent Lloyd Webber show) into a hot reservoir of fluidic debate.

Please note: This article in no way endorses Simon's prejudice.

SIMON'S APPEARANCES

Simon has appeared on numerous Tommy Boyd shows. His first controversial appearance occured in an hour analysing the strength of the British forces, which he quickly changed into a debate on homosexuality. His final appearance was in a show that was attacking Mobile Phones - the last few shows he was on, he had relaxed into the shows format, avoiding trying to take them over.

Was he for real? Can we be sure that he wasn't just having a laugh? If he wasn't genuine then he did a very good job at pulling a swifty. He was certainly consistent with his beliefs and quick to jump down other people's throats should they show even the smallest signs of adopting an opinion or lifestyle different to his own.
